Description
Yet another picture done to blow off steam, try out new techniques and make myself feel better.
In the cold dark nights of Canterlot, a lonely mare walks around luring foolish stallions with her spell. She's gorgeous. An aura of mystery surrounds her. They might know she's a dangerous changeling...but they can't stop themselves from following her.
As I was finishing my previous spoof, I wondered what I could be doing that involved Queen Chrysalis. She's one of those characters that I love to the bone, yet I barely have the chance to draw them enough. It made sense for me that she'd be the star of a ponified version of the movie "Under the Skin". In case you haven't seen this movie, it's one of the weirdest science-fiction alien invasion movies I've ever seen in my life. It has a suffocating atmosphere, almost poisonous, and a really smart use of sound to transfer the feeling of unease. It's, however, one of those movies not everybody can enjoy, its audience is very small.
Doing this poster presented a bigger challenge than I imagined. I have no idea how did they do their own version, but this one was ridiculously complicated. Placing random dots and shines on a picture has never been so annoying.
But hey, I think it looks alright. I hope you all enjoy it!
